Believe it or not, the Renault Duster and the Maruti Suzuki S-Cross are closer than you think in terms of price. This is both the cars are sold with the option of a petrol engine only since the BS6 norms kicked in. The Renault Duster’s pricing ranges from 8.59-9.99 Lakh for the top-spec RXZ variant. The S-Cross’s prices range from 8.39-12.39 lakh for the top-end Alpha AT variant. But we’ll be concentrating on the top-end Manual variants as the Duster is not offered with an automatic.Continue reading
Maruti Suzuki India Limited have launched the already well known S-Cross in petrol guise now. The S-Cross used to come with the 1.3L multijet diesel which has now been replaced by the 1.5L naturally aspirated petrol engine paired with the “smart Hybrid” tech that is currently being used in the Ciaz, Ertiga, Brezza and the XL6. The claimed mileage for the new S-Cross is 18.55 Km/L (MT) & 18.43 Km/L (AT).Continue reading
This is a great question. Not a lot of people directly compare the Duster to the Seltos because not many know that the Duster went through a huge price revision and is priced like a compact SUV while being a non-compact one (above 4m in length).Continue reading

Both the cars are emotional purchases, you buy either one because you are impressed by what it does and not what it has.Continue reading
The Kia Seltos (Hyundai Creta too) is one car that offers a wide range of engines and transmissions. I don’t think any other single model offers 3 engines + 4 types of transmissions in the Indian auto ecosystem.
Coming to which could be better between the manual and the automatic, it falls back completely on which engine you’re looking to buy.Continue reading
The better way to approach this confusion is to look at how these cars are different. All cars, just like regular products, have strengths and weaknesses. And compare them what you’re looking for in a car.Continue reading
The Škoda Rapid and Honda City are cars that have an exclusive fan base for their attributes. The Rapid, from what I’ve seen, is an aspiring car for a lot of buyers. While these buyers may consider other cars like the Volkswagen Vento, they don’t usually look at the other brands. The Honda city buyer is more or less fixed about the Honda City, unless something really puts them off about the car or the car doesn’t have what they want.Continue reading
